That's it! I'm painting plate chargers for everyone!!!
What a great way to dress up your table for the holidays!
I purchased chargers at Hobby Lobby for $1 each!!!
Using my Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Drop Cloth I painted two coats and let dry for about 30 minutes.

Using my Frog Painters Tape I taped off sections evenly around the rim of the charger.
I then sealed the edges of my tape with the same Drop Cloth so the black paint would not seep through underneath and make my stripes less than perfect! (painter's trick)
Once dry (about 30 minutes) I then filled the spaces between my tape with two coats of Caviar, also by Dixie Belle. Immediately after the second coat I removed each strip of tape.
Once the Caviar was dry....I used Gator Hide for a final super durable coat.
And there you go!!! Time to set that table!!!
Remember...these are "chargers"...not plates to eat from. They are meant as a decorative setting to hold your dinner plate! I would NOT wash these in the dishwasher or even soak in water. I would simply wipe down with a damp cloth after each use!
