Is it a pie table or a tea table?
I honestly don't know... but I do know that it is now the cutest tiny Christmas table I've ever seen!
We recently inherited two of these from Matt's parents home and this is the smaller of the two.
I don't know about you.....but I find these little tables to be both adorable....and NOT stable! This type of little table would never serve its purpose safely in our home of 7 grandkids and a bunch of teens.
So even though I found it to be quite useless....I just couldn't part with it!
Instead, I chose to turn it into a piece of art to coordinate with my Nutcracker "art" chair! I knew they would make the perfect pair.....and would now sit as a couple next to my Christmas tree!

Whimsical Christmas Table
I didn't take a photo of this table "before" priming....because sometimes I just get to eager to start once an idea hits me!
I primed the table in Boss White and painted in two coats of Fluff white.
Featuring NEW Holiday Hologram Waterslide Transfer
I then chose to feature the new Holiday Hologram waterslide transfer on the top surface.
These waterslide transfers are like magic!
You simply lay your transfer down....apply a damp cloth over it....rub it a bit....and lift!
This particular transfer has holographic and metallic embellishments that make it extra special.
Once completely dry they need to be sealed.....I used Clear Coat in satin.
Add Whimsical Touches to this Tiny Christmas Table
I added my stamp of FANCY to the three legs by checking them in my true Tracey's Fancy style.
For added whimsy.....I painted the underside of each leg in bold honky tonk red!
And while painting the underside of the legs I decided to also paint the underside of the table top.
I measured equal sections and painted them in both pink and the same bold red.
This happens to be my favorite part of this tiny project!
I love incorporating turquoise whenever I'm using pink or red so it was a given that I'd choose one of my top favorites....The Gulf to connect the table top to the base! This also marries the color palettes of both the tiny table the Nutcracker chair!
I sprinkled in a few rings of pink.....and a chunk of metallic gold to finalize this beauty!
When I create a piece as whimsical as this.....I usually choose to top coat in a high gloss finish. There is just something magical about the high sheen over the bold colors!
You can see this sheen a mile away!
Full of Hand Painted Whimsy!!
Can we all just pause for a moment and take note of this photo full of hand painted whimsy???
It is only partially staged......however when I stepped to the side to change the camera angle.....I caught this view and it made me smile!
This photo holds a pretty big piece of my soul!
Two of my favorite hand painted chairs, my whimsically hand painted phone, my jumbo Christmas ornament, my hand painted guitar case....and now my tiny little Christmas table!
May I never tire of this style!
May I never outgrow my love of whimsy.
May my collection continue as long as I live.
And thank you for loving whimsy as much as I do!
