Who doesn't need a Barbie horse stable? Especially one painted in the trendy Chip and JoAnna black/white modern farmhouse fashion! This little farmhouse Barbie stable was the perfect place for me to showcase my favorite flower.....the sunflower design transfer by Dixie Belle!
As with most of the small projects that I find.....I scored this at my local Goodwill! It was completely raw and lacking any pizzazz at all! I happen to know a few little girls that will LOVE this stable.....and now they will love it even more when they see it sitting in Gigi's playroom looking like this!

Back to this cute little horse stable...I painted it in Dixie Belle's Fluff (white). With the original wood being so light in color....it only required a single coat of paint. I then used a small artist brush and painted the trim on the barn in Caviar (black).
The roof was already scored into square shapes. Well......you know I'm not going to let that go without painting every other square in Caviar......resulting in this amazing roof that Chip and Jo might want to consider! LOL!
And then the real fun begins! I begin choosing which sunflowers I want to use from the transfer design sheets. This particular design comes in four sheets with multiple buildable options. I've put together a video for you showing you exactly how easy they are to apply.

I've used so many transfers over the last three years....and nothing compares to these. Dixie Belle really wanted to make sure the transfers were user-friendly.....releasing easily from the backing....stretchy enough to bend without tearing.....and bold in color.
I finished off this Barbie horse stable with a single coat of Clear Top Coat in Satin.

Meleah used the same Sunflower transfers on an old glass bottle.....and a soda crate! You can use transfers on glass too! Did you know that? Meleah always brings forward the years gone by! She creates with a grungy flair.....and it's very cozy to me. You can see more of this project on her website here.
Leah clustered the sunflowers on this jewelry box for a bright pop of color on an otherwise classically neutral piece. The transfer was perfectly applied over every bump and ridge! You can see more of her work on her website.
