Our flag is a beautiful thing!!! Today, I want to share with you this America-amazing flag spool art! This could be a lovely alternative if you're still yet to have a flagpole and flag to fly, this spool art could be a good workaround until you look for a flagpole for sale for your yard instead!
This American flag spool was designed by my client for her 18-month-old son's bedroom. She's a repeat client and really getting the design bug. I just love her idea on this one.
I love the industrial feel, the vintage distressed paint and the texture.
I recently posted this blog on how to sand, paint and wax a reclaimed cable spool and turn it into art, so I'm not going to go into much detail in this post. I do hope my version of the Stars & Stripes inspires you to get creative and paint your own. I know we see a lot of DIY painted pallets as flags, but the round cable spool flag is unique and fabulous. It would make awesome patriotic porch or backyard decor for Memorial Day, Flag Day and July 4th!
