Do you shy away from large projects?
Does the thought of painting oversized pieces of furniture cause you "overwhelm"?
I get it....I really do!
I am here to encourage you....to tackle your fear....and make over something BIG!
It isn't anymore difficult than a "small' project...it just requires a little more paint....a little more time....and a little more YOU!
And let me tell you.....the BANG you get for your BUCK......is SOOOOOOO worth it!
Take this armoire for example. It belongs to a local client. It is a very large piece....with great lines....and lots of opportunity to be a feature piece in any room!! However, it is currently very heavy and dated...and sort of masculine....even though it has an arched top. My client has experience in furniture painting, but due to health reasons she just didn't have it in her to tackle the project. And that is where I come in......

With a little bit of paint.....a little bit of time....and a little bit of ME.......THIS happened!!!!!
Isn't the change fantastic??? I realize it is a very bold color....and certainly not for everyone!
But it is exactly what my client wanted and that is what matters!
It now has energy.....noticeable details.....depth....and gives off a feeling of light!
It really was not a difficult project at all. It honestly took maybe 5 days with many interruptions......which is totally doable for any of you!
I used a color blending technique (which I teach in my courses) with my favorite chalk paint ever...Dixie Belle.....in Pure Ocean shown below......
......and Peacock (below) and even a few touches of Mermaid Tail (not shown). I sealed the entire piece with Gator Hide....which is my go-to top coat for pieces that will receive wear and tear on a daily basis.
No pressure here....but I really do hope that you will tackle that one large piece that you've been staring at for months.....that you know would look SO much better with a little color!
And if you are seeking instructions in technique.....my color blending course is just for you!
