Welcome to my Eclectic Dining Room
The dining table and chairs is a huge set. It seats 8 comfortably around the round table.
I've ALWAYS wanted a round table and I had the honor of inheriting this set from my oldest daughters in-laws.....so would I say it's from my grandparent-in-laws?
This dining room is a curated mess....of love!
My mothers antique china cabinet (that I promised to never paint).....the enormous corner cabinet from Matt's dads estate that Matt won't allow me to paint.....and then this table and chairs that were VERY dark and it was just too many shades of wood in one small room and it was making me a little crazy.

So Why PINK??
Because I love it...and it is the common thread of color throughout our entire house in one shade or another.
I also know that to a designer's eye.... this dining room makes zero sense and breaks all the rules!
So why not choose a color that is playful....takes the seriousness out of the room completely.....and just makes me happy!
And it really does break up the multiple wood shades!
I have an entire blog, 20+ Stunning Peony Pink Furniture Makeovers, dedicated to my pink furniture projects...don't miss these designs either!
I will admit that Matt isn't (or wasn't) pleased with my choice at all....but I do believe he's come around a bit....especially since we added the other 8 ft tall corner cabinet and the whimsical wall of mirrors and framed art.
It's giving a crazy museum vibe...or maybe your grandma's favorite bed and breakfast vibe. Whichever it is....we've settled into it and that's all that matters.
If you love this pink as much as I do.....you can find the recipe for the custom blend of Dixie Belle Paint colors here.
If you're interested in my "work around" for NOT priming these dark stained chairs and trusting there would be no bleed through.....you can also read about that here.
More Inspiration:
I pulled a few blogs from past projects that came to mind when working on this piece! Y'all, can we could how many times I've redone my dining room over the years! Here are the additional designs for your inspiration:
Upholstered Dining Room Chair - in a "wild" animal pattern
Faux Wood Grained Tabletop - give new life to an old worn table
Glazed Dining Room Chairs - Woah! A blast from the past!
