This piece of furniture has been a show-stopper for me!

I am sharing with you the process (in brief)….so possibly you can create one for yourself! Feel free to leave comments or questions at the end of the post and I promise to get back to you.
I chose to use Heirloom Traditions Black Bean chalk type paint for the entire dresser top and front. The side insets were painted with HTP French Vanilla, sealed with Vintiques Top Coat in satin. (Use coupon code FANCY when checking out to save 10%) Then taped off for the stripes with Modern Masters in Olympic Gold.
I then lightly distressed along the edges of the drawers for that worn, aged feel. I used Jet Black Soft Wax by Heirloom Traditions to enrich AND seal the black paint. This soft wax rubs on easily and absorbs quickly into the porous paint…very little is required for a good seal. You can also use their fabulous Liquid Wax in black….which brushes on like paint…dries quickly and does not need to be buffed!
The center hidden drawers are painted in the same color as the sides.
I tacked on the wrought iron numbers for an added touch of detail. You can find similar numbers like these here.
I also tacked on nail heads for the final touch of detail. Both the tacks and the gorgeous French Provencal handles were spray painted with this metallic gold spray paint….it's by far my favorite spray paint ever!!! The coverage is fantastic!
