Hello hello hello my lovelies!!!
It’s short and sassy today!
Check it out…..
***yes you have seen this glamorous desk before in my gallery..but this is the second version….my client asked for a repeat of the first…so this really is a NEW project***
I did give this glamorous desk a thin coat of Shellac prior to painting with the black. This will guarantee the blockage of tannins bleeding through the white paint that I will be using.
Spray Wax by Vintiques in Noir
This seals your project while enhancing it at the same time!
Apply your paper of choice using 1-Gel also by Heirloom Traditions Paint. This product both adheres your paper to the surface but also is used to seal and protect it. And can I just tell you how much I adore this 1970’s flocked wall paper???
SIDE NOTE….in the photo below I tried to use a big word….and it is NOT the right word! Evidently this word (burnish) has something to do with making things smooth and shiny. LOL! oops! I just meant “seal” your tape edges with the black before filling in the stripes with white. Humor me and pretend I am smart!
Fill in the taped off areas with Vintiques Chantilly (white). This took two coats.
While still wet….remove the tape for clean and near perfect lines!
And this glamorous desk project is done folks!
I love this photo below!
You know you saw it too!!!
A big thank you to my client for allowing me to create this glamorous desk AGAIN!
And another big thank you to Heirloom Traditions Paint for continuing to create products that make my on going projects enjoyable!
So sorry, Heirloom Traditions has discontinued its Vintiques product line. This includes: Noir Spray Wax, Raven and Chantilly (Use my Fancy Kind of Neutral: Irish Cream & Black Bean instead).
Most of all….I thank you! Each and every reader, supporter, cheerleader and encourager of my very own little blog world. Your comments and questions mean so much to me!
Now go make something fancy!
