Not all painted dressers have to be an elaborate work of art!
You can keep the project easy with the use of a little paint and a few stencils.
This dresser before was very masculine….and heavy but my client really wanted to use it in her daughter’s move to her “big girl” room.
Her only piece of inspiration was this small pillow.
The mom had asked that I use the “greige” color on the body of the dresser….which Heirloom Traditions has a beautiful version of that called Rowhouse. So I went with that. (Use my code FANCY to save 10% on this color and your order)
I then chose three stencils that I felt worked well together….and would last for years…as the mom expressed hopes that the dresser would grow with her. The stencil styles are a bit mixed….one not having really anything to do with the other. What they do have in common is they are feminine and light. I’ve linked similar stencils that would work well together for you:
I also used my favorite metallic Gold Liquid Leaf paint to add a bit of flair to an otherwise “traditional” dresser structure and soft color palette…..and you can find that here.
This was a super easy and crazy fast transformation that I promise YOU…..YOU CAN DO IT!!! Absolutely ZERO artistic skills were needed….yet you still have more than just a “painted dresser”! You have design and originality! You have a mixed pattern stenciled dresser! (And maybe a Starbucks cup as an added bonus! I swear I just noticed that in the pic…and this pic has been viewed many times)
So don’t forget…….when you order your paint for your amazing stenciled dresser….you can save 10% off these same gorgeous color (or any color you choose) when you use my coupon code FANCY when you shop Heirloom Traditions online.
